Welcome to 4th grade! I am so excited to start the new school year as your child’s homeroom, Language Arts, and Social Studies teacher! For their Math and Science education, they will transition to Michael Cahill.
A little about myself: I am a fifth-year teacher! I moved to the Austin area my sophomore year of high school from Ohio and graduated from Round Rock ISD before making my journey to Lubbock to continue my education. I graduated from Texas Tech University - GO RED RAIDERS! While I love my Red Raiders, I BLEED Ohio State Buckeyes! I am a lover of family, baseball, Buckeye and Red Raider sports, and enjoying the outdoors!
I became a teacher because of my passion for children’s education. I love having the opportunity to impact their lives in a positive way that will help them reach their full potential. With the goal of providing your child with the best education they can receive, I am excited to work hard to meet and exceed this goal. I can assure you I will take the best care of your child physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually! Together, as a class, we will learn and grow and enjoy every minute of every day. That being said, your support is very important to the success of your child and their classroom!
Communication is very important to your child’s success. Please feel free to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the school between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The best way to contact me is through email or ClassDojo, which I consistently check throughout the day. Communication and support are important so I urge you to email or call with any questions or concerns you may have. I am looking forward to an amazing school year and I hope you are, too!
