About Me

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year! My name is Kimberly Connolly and I am the math interventionist at MSI. I will be working with students to help build their foundational and computational mathematical skills in a small group setting.

I am a 2009 graduate of Thrall High School. After high school, I attended Texas A&M University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2013 and my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014. Most recently, I finished my Administration Certification at the Region 13 Service Center in August of 2018.

This past May, my husband Ryan and I welcomed our first little boy, Brian Patrick. Although he is only a couple of months old, he is already so much fun and I continue to learn from him everyday.

This will be my 5th year in Public Education, but my 1st year working at Main Street Intermediate. I am so excited to be a part of the MSI staff, and I look forward to working with the students. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and hope to instill the love of learning in my students as well.

Although this is my first year as the math interventionist for MSI, I come from a math background. In my experience, sometimes students just need a little extra time and encouragement to be successful. In order to help all students work towards a successful year in math, I will offer math homework assistance every morning, starting at 7:15. This is a time when students can come to me if they have a question or if they just need a little extra time completing their homework before their day starts.

If I will be working with your child throughout the school year, their homeroom teacher will let you know. I strongly believe that communication is one of the most important things that can help students be successful, so please don't hesitate contact me if you have any questions.

If you are interested in ways that you can help your child at home with math fluency, please check out my resources page!

I am looking forward to a great year!
